The Senate and management of Scott Christian University wishes to inform all second, third and fourth year students of Scott Christian University that the university will re-open on thursday, 20th September 2018 at 8am.
Scott Christian University students, faculty and staff had a clean-up exercise in areas around the university which include Mavivye, Kameo, Manyata and areas of Machakos town on 8th April 2016 in partnership with Machakos County which was graced by SCU vice Chancellor Prof. Mumo Kisau, Hon. Eng. Francis Maliki, Minister of Environment Machakos County, Mr. Jackson Muthini, Machakos Sub County Administrator among other university and county officials. The cleanup was aimed at sensitizing the community to maintain high standards of cleanliness both inward and outward.
Speaking during a close up meeting of the event, which was held at Scott Christian University, Hon. Eng. Francis Maliti congratulated the University for the Initiative adding that his ministry would be delighted to partner with Scott Christian University to carry out more clean ups within the County. Machakos Sub-County Administrator Mr. Jackson Muthini applauded the University for the Initiative and said that the Sub-County was looking forward to have more partnerships with the University.
Scott Christian University will continue to carry out a clean-up exercise every semester to sensitize residents of Machakos County on the importance of good sanitation, better quality life and maintaining the reputation of the county as the pace to be. With the slogan “Keeping Masaku Clean”, SCU students, staff and faculty are determined to ensure that every semester the event is carried out in partnership with county government.
